This course is for you if you want to:
Be a positive influence
Connect with like-minded people
Be a part of the solution
Be a centre of calm
Contribute to a more peaceful world

Before we go any further this course is for people who already meditate and have done so for some time.

The course is done via distance training. You have access to our online area that contains your course workbook, videos and exercises to do. You then complete a question and answer style written assignment and email it to us. We provide you with in depth feedback, and support you on your journey. Anne Hartley, our founder and the creator of this course, is available by phone or email if you need help.

Our Meditation Teacher course covers a broad range of subjects: obviously mindfulness and meditation, but we also include relaxation techniques, living by values, simple ways to change our state. The whole course is focused on teaching people to live a calm life.

We cover different styles of meditation, the benefits of these and how different meditations affect different portions of the brain.

And we also include a unit on meditation for children as several of our graduates are now teaching in schools.

You can join our mindfulness and meditation teacher course or, you can combine our meditation teacher training with our life coach training course to give you a broader range of skills.

We need more meditation teachers

Australian statistics show that at least one in three people are affected by stress. Mindfulness reduces stress, promotes calmness and enhances personal happiness. Being mindful can be life changing. Being Mindful can bring joy back into our lives.

Meditation aids attention, increases feelings of well being, supports calmness, increases intuition, supports goal achievement and feelings of inner peace. It changes the structure of our brains and increases our response to stress.

Mindfulness is becoming increasingly popular in the corporate world and some of our graduates are now teaching it in their workplace.

Is there a market for meditation classes?

Some of our graduates now conduct mindfulness and meditation classes in: aged care facilities, schools, one is working in a prison, we have trained many yoga teachers in meditation, psychologists, counsellors. We have also trained a few well-known bloggers who encourage the practice of mindfulness and meditation and of course many everyday people who want to lead meditation groups or conduct meditation classes.

This is one of the most in demand services that is used in every walk of life from aged care to corporations.

Companies such as: National Australia Bank, Victoria Police, Deloittes, Diabetes Australia, St Kilda Football Club, Origin Energy, CEO Institute in Australia support mindfulness and meditation in the workplace as well as large US companies such as Apple, Google, Ford, Twitter, Facebook, Cisco and LinkedIn.

More than 1000 people from Google have been through their Search Inside Yourself training, which is based on meditation. Another 400 or so are on the waiting list and take classes like Neural Self-Hacking and Managing Your Energy. Google also hold bi-monthly “mindful lunches,” conducted in complete silence except for the ringing of prayer bells, which began after the Zen monk Thich Nhat Hanh visited in 2011. Google also built a labyrinth for walking meditations.

“This is the best college for learning Mindfulness and Meditation. The work is actively involving. The techniques are wide and varied. The support by Anne and others is unlimited, and the flexible style is great for busy people.

I have been a very successful Clinical Psychologist, Health and Wellbeing practitioner for 33 years… from working in the Psych Department at Prince of Wales Hospital, to Managing Tasmania’s Mental Health. So, I was very fussy when I decided to study Mindfulness and Meditation, for it’s Mind, Body and Soul benefits (including but not limited to CBT practice therapeutic interventions). I researched a great deal before settling on Hart Life Coaching as my College… and I was not disappointed.

This course and this College are excellent to study with, and I support their ongoing success.

Thank you Anne, for my wonderful learning journey.”

Katherine Winter, Psychologist

“I have recently completed the Mindfulness & Meditation teachers Course. I really enjoyed learning about the different ways to meditate and the long term benefits that it has on our health. Since completing the course I find myself teaching others what I have learnt through conversation, I truly believe in mindfulness and meditation as a means to sufferers from not only mental health issues but mostly from one’s own thoughts & inner conflicts. I highly recommend this course for those who want to learn more about understanding your own thoughts, where stress comes from, how to eliminate conflict within yourself, and ultimately how to be a better, healthier you and to do the same for others. Thanks Anne I loved the course & the way in which it is delivered.

I thoroughly enjoyed studying the Mindfulness and Meditation Certificate offered by  Hart Life Coaching. The content was interesting, thought provoking and covered a broad range of subjects. The resources provided were significant and useful especially when conducting sessions. The length of the assignments was manageable. Thank you.”

Maureen Meredith

With clear precise, easy to follow training, a realm of expanded research & knowledge to be learnt, substance & depth to be gained, teamed with the support from Anne, made for a great training combination to easily enable me to complete my Mindfulness & Meditation Certificate.”

Emily Dewar

“Thanks so much for your guidance and advice during the course and regarding the questions I asked. I have absolutely loved the course and feel I have learnt so much and improved my own practice and life balance. I am looking forward to helping others in the area of mindfulness and meditation. I currently teach at a prison and it looks like I might have the opportunity in coming months to teach some Mindfulness and Meditation courses to prisoners.”

Successful People Who Meditate

“Meditation more than anything in my life was the biggest ingredient of whatever success I’ve had.”
Ray Dalio, the billionaire founder of Bridgewater Associates, the world’s largest hedge fund firm

“Now I meditate twice a day for half an hour. In meditation, I can let go of everything. I’m not Hugh Jackman. I’m not a dad. I’m not a husband. I’m just dipping into that powerful source that creates everything. I take a little bath in it.” Hugh Jackman.

CTO, Padmasree Warrior, Cisco Systems, who oversees 22,000 employees, told the New York Times in 2012 that taking time to meditate and unplug helped her to manage it all.

Oprah says she sits in stillness for 20 minutes, twice a day. She’s also brought in TM teachers for employees at Harpo Productions, Inc. who want to learn how to meditate.

Arianna Huffington, founder of the Huffington Post, said that early-morning yoga and meditation are two of her “joy triggers”. She now offers weekly classes to employees.

Bill Ford, Executive Chairman, Ford Motor Company is a big supporter of meditation in the business world.  Ford said that during difficult times at the company, he set an intention every morning to go through his day with compassion. And to lead with compassion, Ford said he first learned to develop compassion for himself through a loving-kindness meditation practice.
