Our online mindfulness and meditation teacher course provides you with the knowledge, skills and accreditation to teach mindfulness and meditation to individuals or groups.

Unlike most training which requires you to attend face-to-face training where you need to take time off work, our course is done online, and can easily be undertaken while working full time. The cost is reasonable and the course can be completed within 3 – 4 months, if you work at it consistently, but you have up to 12 months to complete the course.

There are 2 levels of training. Level 1 is for people who have extensive experience in teaching meditation, or who may want to do the course for their own personal benefit. Level 2 is for people who have not taught classes before, or who are not as experienced at meditating.

Online Meditation Teacher Training – Level 1 (experienced meditators)

Level 1 teacher training is for people who are experienced meditators committed to the regular practice of meditation. You may teach a meditation or yoga classes, or work with individuals using mindfulness/meditation or have experience presenting classes. Either way you will be a long term meditator yourself.

By completing this course you will add to your knowledge and gain an internationally recognised certificate as a Mindfulness & Meditation Teacher. You might feel you already know much of what we teach but we include a lot in our course including relaxation tips, living by values and mindfulness that assist people to reduce stress, be calmer and more aware. Most of our students thank us for providing such a valuable in depth course, and comment on how much they have learnt.

Our approach is unique and most of our graduates tell us that it has enriched their own life. Some of our graduates are teaching meditation in the corporate world, aged care facilities, to migrant women, in prisons, schools, yoga classes and meditation classes.

Some people do this course for their own benefit, and you are still welcome to do so, however if you don’t have experience outlined above you will only receive a Certificate in Mindfulness & Meditation on graduation, not the teacher qualification.

Our Mindfulness and Meditation teacher course curriculum covers:

  1. Identify the cause and effects of stress
  2. Use mindfulness to change the stress response
  3. Choose values to live by (another form of mindfulness)
  4. Identify the benefits to be gained from regular meditation
  5. Identify Different Styles of Meditation and Assess their Benefits
  6. Identify the Benefits of Meditation for Children and Teens
  7. Use Meditation to Heal and Achieve Goals
  8. Identify ways to develop intuition
  9. Identify a range of relaxation techniques

Each unit is supported by comprehensive written material and in many instances a video. You complete a written assignment for each unit and you will be provided feedback from your assessor. If you have any queries you can contact our office by phone or email if you need support.

Once you have completed all written assignments your certificate will be issued providing all course fees have been paid. We reserve the right to refuse acceptance to anyone we deem unsuited to the course.

Online Meditation Teacher Training – Level 2 (limited or no experience)

Level 2 teacher training is for people who are not as experienced at meditating or who have not taught before.

The course content is the same as for level 1, with additional training on how to conduct courses, and includes a lesson plan for a 6 week course. You will be required to video yourself presenting different portions of the course and you will be provided with feedback and guidance on this. If we think your skills need working on you may be asked to do more presentations.

  11. Conduct meditation courses (includes a lesson plan for a 6 week course)
  12. Supervision (you are required to provide videos of you conducting various aspects covered in the lesson plan for meditation course)

Upon successful completion of the course graduates are issued with a Mindfulness & Meditation Teacher certificate. This qualifies you to join the International Meditation Teachers Association and obtain insurance.
